The Horn Diluphos System (HDS®) is a 100% automated, cutting-edge technology designed for the curative application of pure cylinderized phosphine gas. Unlike traditional methods, the HDS machine takes the gas directly from cylinders (where phosphine is in a liquid state) and, before injection, automatically dilutes the phosphine with air. This allows for exact dosage control according to the established parameters for your commodities, ensuring a uniform distribution of the gas throughout the facility.

We guarantee a meticulous service, carried out by highly trained operators:
Step 1: High-Precision Sealing. We seal the facility using nylon, contact cement, masking tape, silicone sealant, and polyurethane foam. We remove aeration motors and hermetically seal the vents.
Step 2: Automated Injection. We insert the hose into the aeration vents. The operator inputs the exact required dose into the HDS machine, and the equipment injects the mixture of air and pure phosphine, electronically controlling the concentration.
Step 3: Sealing and Signage. Upon completing the injection, we remove the hose, seal the entry point, and place the mandatory safety signage indicating that the silo is under treatment.
Step 4: Exposure Time. We allow the gas to act for at least 5 days (the exact time will depend on the ambient temperature and the characteristics of the grain).
Step 5: Release and Handover. Once the period is complete, we remove the sealing to ventilate the area. Being in a gaseous format, the product leaves no residual or solid waste, leaving your merchandise ready for commercialization or export.

What is the difference between traditional fumigation and the HDS pure phosphine system? Unlike solid metallic phosphides (tablets), the HDS system injects phosphine in a gaseous state diluted with air. This ensures a perfectly uniform distribution in the silo, electronic dose control, and most importantly for agro-exports: it leaves no solid residues (dust) in contact with the commodities.
How long does a phosphine fumigation service in silos or ships take? The injection process is fast thanks to the automation of the HDS machine. Afterwards, the minimum required exposure time is 5 days. This period may vary slightly depending on the ambient temperature of the region (whether in Brazil or Argentina) to ensure 100% lethality in insects.
Is it safe to apply gaseous phosphine in my facilities? It is the safest method on the market. At Ecotec Fumigation, we use equipment that automatically blocks the valves in the event of any electrical failure. Additionally, the machine never exceeds 10,000 ppm, remaining well below the flammability limit of phosphine (18,000 ppm).
